Nigel Farage expressed deep emotion after reaching out to the mother of Emily Damari, a British-Israeli hostage released by Hamas.
Kfar Aza: Nigel Farage was visibly emotional after he connected with Mandy Damari, the mother of Emily Damari, who was just released from Hamas captivity.
Emily, 28, was among three hostages freed following a ceasefire deal. Farage had met Mandy in Parliament last month to raise awareness about her daughter.
After the release, he shared his joy, saying, “I just sent a voicenote to Mandy.” He struggled to hold back tears, expressing how much he felt for her.
Farage noted that many were unaware of the British hostages, which motivated him to advocate for Emily’s situation. He campaigned hard, even criticizing officials for not focusing on her plight.
Emily was taken during a brutal attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which resulted in many casualties and numerous abductions.
She was at home in Kfar Aza when Hamas troops invaded, tragically killing her dog before taking her hostage.
Mandy described her daughter’s harrowing experience, detailing injuries and the traumatic abduction. After 471 days, she expressed immense gratitude for the support received during this ordeal.
While relieved for Emily, Mandy emphasized the ongoing struggle for other hostages still waiting to return home.
