Nile Rodgers, 72, co-founded Chic and has worked with big names like Madonna and Beyoncé. He’s a true disco funk icon.
His music has sold over 500 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide. That’s impressive!
Rodgers won three Grammys for his work with Daft Punk on their album, Random Access Memories. He’s had a remarkable career.
Chic’s 1978 album, C’est Chic, was a huge hit. Songs like Le Freak and Good Times topped the Billboard Hot 100.
Le Freak became Atlantic Records’ best-selling single for 37 years. That’s quite a record!
He also produced We Are Family for Sister Sledge, which hit number one on Billboard’s R&B chart in 1979.
Rodgers will perform his greatest hits in York. Fans are excited for this legendary show!
