Two off-duty police officers were attacked in Sydney, with one suffering serious injuries during a late-night brawl on Enmore Road
Sydney: So, there was this wild incident in Newtown where two off-duty cops got attacked. One of them ended up on the ground, getting punched in the head repeatedly. Ouch!
It all went down late Wednesday night on Enmore Road. The police got called in after a brawl broke out. When they arrived, they found a 25-year-old guy unconscious on the road.
Luckily, an off-duty nurse was there and jumped in to do CPR until the paramedics showed up. The officer was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is in serious but stable condition.
Apparently, the two officers were just walking along when they saw three guys arguing. Next thing you know, they were attacked, with one officer getting knocked down and really beaten up.
The three attackers took off before the police could catch them. The other officer, also 25, got some facial injuries but was treated and released from the hospital.
Now, the police are trying to track down those three guys. They think they’re in their 20s. If anyone has info or video footage, they’re asking to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
