Opera North’s enchanting performance of Cinderella delighted families at Cliffe Castle, kicking off a vibrant musical season at the museum
Keighley: On Saturday, Cliffe Castle welcomed Opera North for two delightful performances of Cinderella, specially designed for kids under eight. It was a fun-filled day!
Families gathered in the beautiful Bracewell Smith Hall, ready to enjoy a fresh twist on the classic fairy tale. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement.
Many kids were experiencing opera for the first time. They got to join in the fun by singing along and waving wands they crafted before the show. How cool is that?
This event is just the beginning of a series of musical happenings at the Bradford Council-run museum, running until early May. There’s a lot to look forward to!

Don’t miss “Sid has lost its beat” on February 18, featuring puppetry, drumming, dancing, and rap for a family-friendly experience. Sounds like a blast!
And on May 4, early risers can enjoy the Dawn Chorus event at 4:30 am, soaking in the sounds of nature at Cliffe Castle Park. What a way to start the day!
