St Andrews: Jannetta’s Gelateria has been a staple in the coastal town for 115 years. It’s a family-run gem that’s now in its fifth generation.

Lewis and Ross Haze are stepping up as their parents, Owen and Nicola, get ready to retire. They’ve seen firsthand the love and creativity that goes into making gelato.

Lewis shared how their upbringing was all about fresh, quality ingredients. The Italian recipes have been cherished, and they’re excited to whip up new flavors that stand out.

It’s a proud moment for the brothers, as they’re the first to run the shop since Charlie and Bennett Jannetta Jr. back in the 1920s. They’re eager to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Both brothers went to university but realized their hearts were in the family business. They even showcased an old ice cream trailer on BBC’s The Repair Shop, which now sits outside their shop.

Alasdair Busby, their business advisor, has been a part of their journey for years. He’s thrilled to support the new generation and looks forward to what’s next for Jannetta’s.
