The jury has heard the opening statements in the Oxford attempted murder trial, where a man faces serious charges after a violent incident.
Oxford: So, there’s this serious case going on. A 25-year-old guy named Hassan Hussain is accused of stabbing a man named Kane Khan in an alley last March.
Hussain, who lives in Nye Bevan Close, is on trial now at the Oxford Crown Court. He’s facing some heavy charges, including attempted murder and having an imitation firearm.
There are also two other guys involved, Shahroz Khan and Bilal Khan, who are charged with conspiracy to murder. It’s a pretty intense situation.
The prosecutor, Paul Cavin, wrapped up his opening by saying that they need to prove Hussain meant to kill Khan. He thinks that part won’t be too hard for the jury to figure out.
Khan got seriously hurt in the attack, and the prosecutor pointed out that it’s common sense to see those injuries as intentional. They’re still trying to find out more about the firearm used, which didn’t actually fire, so they’re not sure if it was real or fake.
This trial is expected to go on for about three weeks, so there’s still a lot more to come.
