Oxford University recently held a fun STEM careers event for kids, sparking their interest in science and technology fields

Organized by SSEN, Oxford University, and SmartSTEMs, the event focused on the skills needed for a greener future. The kids discovered how they can contribute to a net-zero world.
Ian Burnham from SSEN shared how great it was to see local students exploring diverse STEM career paths. He hopes the workshops inspire them to think about new possibilities.
Notable speakers included Dame Hilary Boulding and Lady Elish Angiolini from Oxford University. They emphasized the importance of showing kids the wide range of opportunities in STEM.
With over 180 students attending, Karen Adams from SmartSTEMs expressed excitement about the event’s success. It was a day filled with learning and discovery, showcasing the power of collaboration.
