A serious crash on the A346 in Marlborough has left a pensioner critically injured, prompting an urgent appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage.
A lorry was turning right at Browns Farm when it slowed down, causing three vehicles behind it to also slow. Unfortunately, a Kia Sorento collided with the van at the back.
The impact sent the Kia across the road, crashing into an oncoming vehicle. The driver and front passenger, both in their 70s, are now being treated for serious injuries at Salisbury District Hospital.
An air ambulance was dispatched, and in total, three people were taken to the hospital. The South Western Ambulance Service confirmed they sent multiple ambulances and a doctor to the scene.
Fire crews from Swindon and Pewsey also arrived to help. They used hydraulic tools to assist paramedics in reaching those injured.
The A346 was closed for several hours, and drivers were advised to find alternate routes. Police are now asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash cam footage to get in touch.
