A new three-bedroom home is proposed for Queens Road, Watford, aiming to enhance the area and meet local housing needs
Watford: There’s a new plan in the works for a three-bedroom home on Queens Road. Roy Golding is looking to build on some vacant land behind 126 Queens Road.
Right now, the spot is just a storage area for the landowner, and there’s an old garage that will be torn down as part of the project.
The applicant believes this new home will fit nicely with the neighborhood, which has a lot of two and three-bedroom houses that have been converted into flats or shared homes.
They also pointed out that there’s a real need for more three-bedroom properties in the area.
Access to the new home would be through an existing walkway off Queens Way, using the underpass that’s already there. The applicant thinks this will really improve a piece of land that isn’t doing much for the community right now.
They mentioned that back-land development is already a thing in the area, and this project should be a welcome addition.
