New proposals aim to expand Waterbrook Park, promising job opportunities and commercial growth in Ashford
Ashford: Exciting news for the area! There’s a plan to expand Waterbrook Park, and it’s all about creating more job opportunities. Sounds great, right?
DHA Planning is working with GSE Commercial Estates to submit these plans to the Ashford Borough Council. They want to develop some land right next to the existing park.
This new building will be close to the recently approved David Lloyd Health Club. It’s a good spot, right next to the Ashford International Truckstop.
The idea is to have a space that supports small and medium businesses. They’re aiming to create a place where local companies can thrive.
If everything goes smoothly, we could see a building with two units: one big 6,000 sq ft space and a smaller 2,000 sq ft one. Plus, there will be 21 parking spots!
Access will be from Arrowhead Road, which is just off the A2070. They’re also planning to include some eco-friendly features like LED lighting and solar panels.
A spokesperson from GSE mentioned that there’s a strong demand for commercial space at Waterbrook Park. They’re committed to helping local businesses find the right premises.
This new development is part of a bigger plan for Waterbrook Park, which has been in the works since 2000. It’s included in the local plan for a mix of residential and commercial uses.
There are already several projects happening at Waterbrook Park, including a new Aldi supermarket and a Taco Bell drive-thru. Exciting times ahead for Ashford!
