North Wales Police have shared footage of a drug gang’s arrest after their sentencing, highlighting the ongoing fight against drug crime in the area
Wrexham: Recently, seven men were sentenced for their involvement in a drug conspiracy. They appeared at Mold Crown Court, and their combined prison time adds up to nearly 35 years.
These guys were caught after police executed several warrants in Wrexham and Merseyside last October. It was quite the operation!
One of the men, Anthony Howey, tried to escape and caused a lot of damage to police cars before crashing into a tree. Talk about a wild getaway!
North Wales Police released footage showing Howey’s escape attempt and the police action during the arrests. It’s a real eye-opener.
In total, the drugs seized were worth over £70,000. That’s a serious haul!
Detective Chief Inspector Dean Jones emphasized that these sentences send a strong message against drug dealing. He mentioned how drugs like cocaine and heroin can ruin lives.
