Poole Town FC partners with Poole Foodbank to support local families in need
Poole: Poole Town FC held a special match day at BlackGold Stadium. They asked fans to bring food donations for the local food bank. The response was fantastic!
Poole Foodbank does more than just provide food. It offers a friendly space where people can chat and feel welcome. They want to connect folks with other helpful services, like debt advice and housing support.
The Dolphins plan to support the food bank regularly in the future. Ben Edgell, the club’s commercial manager, said they want to help the community all year round, especially during tough winter months.
He emphasized that Poole Town FC is committed to ensuring no one in the community goes hungry. The food bank helps families in crisis with emergency food and essential support.
It relies on community donations, volunteers, and partnerships to tackle food poverty in Poole. Ian Stoney, the food bank manager, expressed gratitude to the club and fans for their support during the match against Frome.
He noted that their generosity makes a real difference for local families in need. Regular donations help the charity plan for the long term.
Even a small monthly donation of £5 can significantly impact. To support Poole Foodbank+, visit the Faithworks website for more information.
