Greenwich council wants your input on making the town more bike-friendly and accessible for everyone. Join the conversation!
Greenwich: The local council is reaching out for feedback on their plans to improve walking and cycling in the town center. They want to make it easier for everyone to get around safely.
These proposals aim to connect Cycleway 4, which runs from Tower Bridge to Greenwich, with the Old Royal Naval College. This will create a direct and safe route for cyclists heading into central London.
Cllr Averil Lekau, who’s in charge of climate action and transport, emphasized the importance of community input. She said they want to make the town center more sustainable and enjoyable for both residents and visitors.
The consultation kicked off on Monday and will be open until February 28. Residents can share their thoughts through online surveys or by attending drop-in sessions.
