Two schools in Bognor and Gillingham received lovely reading benches to enhance their outdoor spaces for students to enjoy reading.
Gillingham: Gillingham Primary School and Nyewood CE Junior School in Bognor Regis just got some cool new reading benches from Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties.
These benches were crafted by apprentices at Taylor Wimpey’s Gillingham Lakes and Regis Park developments. Pretty neat, right?
The donation is part of the housebuilder’s effort to give back to the local community. The benches are set up at the schools to create cozy spots for kids to sit and read.
Oliver Hughes, the deputy headteacher at Nyewood CE Junior School, shared that the kids are really enjoying the new benches in their reading areas. He said it’s a great chance for them to sit and read together with friends.
Over at Gillingham Primary School, headteacher Sue Preston expressed how thrilled they are to receive the reading bench. It’s filled with books and comfy cushions, making it a perfect spot for kids to snuggle up and read throughout the day.
