Skipton: Last April, permission was granted to divide the old Rackham’s store on High Street into four separate units. This project is moving forward.

Confirmed shops include the Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Peacocks, and Bonmarché. Exciting news for shoppers!

Equorium Property is handling the redevelopment. They recently got the green light from North Yorkshire Council to work on the roof.

The roof work needs listed building consent. It involves using Welsh slates and repairing gutters and flashings.

A planning officer report mentions that these repairs will help restore the building after years of neglect.

These updates will enhance the building’s appearance and benefit the local area. It’s great to see this historic site being revitalized!

Peacocks and Bonmarché are both part of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill group, making this a significant development for the area.
