Royal Blackburn: The cardiac care ward at the hospital just snagged a SPEC award for the amazing care they give to patients. How cool is that?
To celebrate this big win, the staff threw a lovely tea party. It’s nice to see them getting recognized for their hard work.
This ward has 26 beds and is part of the heart care unit, helping folks with all sorts of heart issues. They really go above and beyond.
Suzanne Barnes, the ward manager, couldn’t be prouder of her team. She mentioned how supportive everyone is and how they always put patients first.
She said they work hard to meet the East Lancashire Hospital Trust standards and ensure patients get the best care possible.
Just earlier this month, another ward at Clitheroe Community Hospital also received a gold award for its outstanding care. It’s great to see such dedication in the community!
The Ribblesdale Ward, which focuses on rehabilitation and is designed with “dementia friendly” principles, also earned a gold SPEC award. It’s all about providing top-notch care!
