Torbay: Great news for locals! The My Bay discount scheme is back for another round of sign-ups. If you live in Torbay and are 16 or older, you can apply until midday on February 14.

This card opens the door to exclusive deals with around 100 local businesses. Plus, you get £10 worth of free access to public toilets—33 visits, to be exact! And if you’re parking, you can snag an extra hour of free parking when you buy a ticket for an hour or more.

Last year, over 1,000 folks jumped on the early bird offer when the scheme launched on January 1. Now, there’s another chance to join for a full year starting April 1.

To apply, you’ll need to prove you live in the Torbay Council area. Check the Torbay Council website for a list of acceptable documents. You can apply online or through your My Torbay account.

If you’re looking for a parking permit, don’t forget to have your driving license and vehicle registration documents handy. If online isn’t your thing, you can grab a paper application at local libraries in Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham.

Need help? The libraries can assist you, but make sure to bring your proof of residence and vehicle info. Once your application is approved and you pay the £10 fee, your card and permit will be mailed out in March, just in time for April 1.

Good news for unpaid carers registered with Torbay Carers—the £10 fee is waived as a thank-you for all the hard work you do.

For more details, check out the full terms on the Torbay Council website or call Customer Services at 01803 207900. Local businesses are also getting signs to show off their exclusive deals for My Bay members, which are updated regularly online.

My Bay is all about helping you save money while supporting local businesses. Council leader Dave Thomas is thrilled to see so many people benefiting from it. He encourages everyone to check out the savings and take advantage of this second chance to join.

With more businesses joining the scheme, My Bay is set to grow even stronger. So, don’t miss out on this opportunity to make the most of what Torbay has to offer!
