A head-on collision outside the airport left two people injured, but thankfully, their injuries aren’t life-threatening.
Hurn: A silver Vauxhall Monaro and a red Toyota Yaris collided on Parley Lane around 10:37 PM on Saturday, January 18. It was a pretty serious crash.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and a man and woman in the Yaris were taken to the hospital. Initially, their injuries seemed serious, but thankfully, they turned out not to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Vauxhall only had minor injuries and was treated right there at the scene. Road closures were set up while emergency crews worked, but they were cleared by about 1:45 AM on Sunday.
Sergeant Dave Cotterill from the roads policing team mentioned they’re looking into what happened. He’s eager to hear from anyone who saw the crash or noticed how the cars were driving before it happened.
He also asked drivers in the area to check their dashcam footage. It could really help with the investigation. And he thanked everyone for their patience while the roads were closed.
