Shobdon: The Bateman Arms has officially closed down. They shared the news on their website, expressing sadness over the permanent closure that took effect on January 15.
In their message, they thanked loyal customers for their support, saying it was a pleasure to serve everyone over the years.
This historic pub had just reopened in May 2023 after a big renovation. It was put up for sale back in the summer of 2021.
Originally listed for £495,000, the price has now dropped to £420,000. The agents described it as a great opportunity for someone looking to run a pub or expand their business.
The Bateman Arms features a commercial kitchen, storage areas, and customer toilets. Plus, there’s accommodation upstairs with three ensuite bedrooms and a cozy lounge.
There are also six letting rooms in separate buildings at the back, making it a nice setup for potential buyers.
