Thompson was shot on Wednesday by a masked guy who then made a run for it. He jumped on a bike and vanished into Central Park. Crazy, right?
Now, after six days of searching, they’ve got a guy in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He had a gun similar to the one used in the assassination. Police are questioning him.
Reports say the NYPD is sending detectives to Altoona, which is about 100 miles east of Pittsburgh. They’re not wasting any time.
This guy was on a bus when police stopped him. They found a gun, a silencer, and a bunch of fake IDs. Sounds like a movie plot!
Apparently, a worker at McDonald’s recognized him and called the cops. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time!
The gun used in the assassination was a VP9, a vintage spy gun from World War II. It’s pretty rare and can go for around $5,700 online. Just wild!
