Sidbury: A big water leak didn’t stop fun at The King’s Head. About 200 people packed the pub to watch Six Nations rugby. They turned it into a lively sports bar.

We’ve heard about the leak before. It’s been flooding a city center road for over 24 hours. Severn Trent Water said it’s a complex issue.

Matt Collins, the landlord, shared that the pub was busy despite the leak. They were down to their last half keg of Guinness as fans cheered for Ireland beating England, 27 to 22.

Good news! A fresh delivery of Guinness is expected on Tuesday. Matt mentioned that the leak was tough for drivers but didn’t hurt their business.

He said, “We were fully booked anyway. 180 people came to watch the rugby, and 20 more walked in. We even had a 50th birthday party after the game.”

The King’s Head has five TVs, making it a perfect spot for sports events. A Severn Trent spokesperson apologized for the disruption and promised to fix the leak soon.
