Railway upgrades in Powys and Llanelli will take place in February. These vital improvements will not affect travel for Six Nations rugby matches.
Network Rail has planned some railway work between Swansea and Llandrindod Wells. The work includes track and signal upgrades.
They will work Saturday, February 15, and Sunday, February 16. There is also work scheduled for Sunday, February 23.

They know many west Swansea fans use trains. As a result, trains will run on February 22 for the rugby game.

Engineers will renew tracks at Llanelli on February 15 and 16, replacing ballast, sleepers, and rail. This entails 400 tonnes of ballast, 310 sleepers, and 550 meters of rail.
They will also perform signal work at five level crossings and engineers will work on the Llanelli station footbridge.
On February 23, more track work happens at Llandeilo. They will replace ballast, sleepers, and rail, consisting of nearly 500 tonnes of ballast, 423 sleepers, and over 800 meters of rail. There will also be follow-up work at Llanelli.
