Manchester: CoLa, the Southwark-based basketball club, had an amazing weekend at the Sure Shot National Cup Finals. They snagged two trophies at the National Basketball Performance Centre.

First up, the U18 women’s team took on their rivals, Endeavour Ipswich Basketball, and won 65-46. This victory marked their third cup in four years and their second in a row.

Chloe Vella was a standout player, earning the MVP title with an impressive double-double of 15 points and 21 rebounds. Adaora Dioramma and Monife Abidekun also played key roles, contributing 12 and 13 points, respectively.

Then, the U18 men’s team faced a tough challenge against Charnwood College Riders. They were down by 11 points but made a stunning comeback to win 67-62.

Khyle Capanzana led the charge, scoring 18 points and grabbing four rebounds. Isaac Fiagbe and Daniel Banjoko also made significant contributions, each scoring 15 points.

It was a thrilling weekend for CoLa, solidifying their place in the history of the competition.
