A public meeting will explore the connection between Stamford Surgery and Lakeside Healthcare, inviting patient input and discussion.
Patients from Stamford Surgery, which used to be called Lakeside Stamford, are encouraged to come along. The chairman of the patient group, John Morphy Godber, will share insights on last year’s primary healthcare in Stamford.
They’ll also talk about what’s on the agenda for 2025, covering priorities and progress. One hot topic is the relationship between Stamford Surgery and Lakeside, which has several GP practices nearby.
A patient raised a good question about who makes decisions locally versus at Lakeside. They’re also going to discuss how easy it is to get appointments and the surgery’s ability to meet patient needs.
There’s a focus on the phone service too, with questions about how it’s being monitored and what improvements are being made. Some nearby surgeries, like those in Empingham and Wansford, are mentioned as examples of good phone service.
They’ll set aside 15 minutes for audience questions and hear from the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board about how they’re addressing Stamford’s growing population.
