Family Mediation Week offers couples a chance to find peaceful solutions to their disputes and navigate tough times together
Michelle Bettell, a senior associate and accredited family mediator, mentioned that many folks feel the weight of relationship and financial pressures after the holidays. It’s a tough spot to be in, and many couples just don’t know where to turn for help.
Family Mediation Week is all about giving separating couples the info they need to make smart choices about parenting, property, and finances. The Family Mediation Council is even hosting free online sessions during the week, which is super helpful for everyone involved.
Lindsay Halliwell, another accredited family mediator at Steele Raymond, explained that mediation is about having a neutral, trained mediator help couples talk through what matters most during their separation. The goal? To keep things out of the courtroom and find a solution that works for everyone. Plus, the process is flexible, so they can explore different options to reach a positive outcome.
