Inverclyde braces for Storm Eowyn with school closures and travel warnings
Inverclyde: The area is gearing up for Storm Eowyn, and it’s not looking good. Schools and colleges are shutting down, and many transport services are on hold.
The Met Office has issued a rare red weather warning, which means it’s serious. This alert is in effect from 10 AM to 5 PM on Friday, so everyone needs to be cautious.
They’re predicting winds of up to 80 miles per hour in Greenock, especially between 9 AM and 4 PM. It’s going to be a wild ride, with gusts peaking around midday.
In response to the storm, Inverclyde Council has ramped up its emergency plans. They decided to close all schools for safety reasons, which is a smart move.
