A trendy new eatery, No.14 Wesley Walk, has opened in Oxfordshire, offering a cozy vibe and delicious food for locals and visitors alike
Oxfordshire: The buzz is real! No.14 Wesley Walk just had its launch party, and it was quite the event. Cllr Owen Collins and town crier Jean Postlethwaite-Dixon were there, mingling with everyone.
This new spot is the brainchild of Ryan Humphrey, who used to run The Carpenters Arms in Fulbrook with his pals Siobhan and Tom Addy. They’ve transformed a historic building into a charming restaurant.
With 50 seats inside and 20 outside, it’s a cozy place to grab a bite. It’s located in the old Wesleyan School Science Building, which was empty since Hackett’s closed in 2017.
They’re open bright and early at 7:30 am, serving everything from smashed beans and eggs to a full English breakfast. Plus, there’s a grab-and-go counter with tasty treats like sausage rolls and a classic BLT.
The team is solid too! Head chef Peter Southey comes from The Maybush, and manager Cat Roberts has experience from The Edge at Lil’s. They’re ready to make this place a hit.
Ryan, who has a background in five-star hotels, shared his vision: “I wanted a relaxed vibe where you can enjoy classic café fare or a nice glass of wine.”
He hopes No.14 will be the perfect spot for those looking for a comfy place to eat, bridging the gap between pubs and cafes with great food.
