The Roaring Donkey in Swindon has reopened under new ownership, bringing joy to locals after its sudden closure earlier this year
The pub had closed unexpectedly in April 2024, leaving many regulars worried it might be gone for good. But Fazz, who’s been in the hospitality game for 20 years, saw a chance to create something special.
He mentioned how great it feels to see the locals happy again. They were concerned the pub would be replaced with flats. Fazz is thrilled with how things are going and gave a shoutout to his staff, especially Raqual, for their hard work.
Opening a business is no small feat, especially around the holidays. January can be slow, but he’s keeping things moving. Fazz is all about making sure everyone feels welcome and enjoys their time at the pub.
He loves sharing his passion with the community. The Roaring Donkey offers fresh ales and a variety of beers. While he’s not serving meals, there are always snacks and cheese boards on Thursdays.
Looking ahead, Fazz has exciting plans for the spring and summer, including special offers and monthly BBQs to thank his customers. Plus, the pub recently got a top food safety score from the council, which is a big win.
The Roaring Donkey is open from Tuesday to Sunday, and it’s clear Fazz is making it a place where everyone can come together and have a good time.
