Two teenage boys are facing serious charges after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped at a local recreation ground
The police got called out last Friday night when reports came in about the attack. They charged one boy, also 14, with some heavy stuff like rape, threats to kill, and even having a knife in public.
Both boys were supposed to show up at Southampton Youth Court this morning. Another 14-year-old from the area is also facing charges related to the same incident.
There’s a third boy, just 13, from Romsey, who was arrested too but has been released on bail while the police keep investigating.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire police mentioned they got the call around 10:41 PM, but it seems the incident happened earlier that evening. They also said the girl is getting support from specialized officers, which is really important in situations like this.
