The teen is now 17. You cannot name him legally. He admitted dangerous driving. He also admitted assault. The sheriff said detention was likely. The court will get a background report. Then, they remanded him in custody. The sheriff questioned his actions. He said the teen lacked consideration.
A man sent nudes to a teen girl. She was his friend’s daughter, aged 14. This caused her lasting harm. Stewart Barclay admitted his crimes. He coerced the girl into viewing sexual images. He communicated indecently with her.
These actions occurred between June and December 2022. It happened at various locations. He appeared before Sheriff Gary Aitken.
The sheriff called it “grave in the extreme”. Barclay was jailed for 32 months. He got a six-year prevention order. This limits his internet use. He cannot contact kids under 16.
