Tesco changes its loyalty program a lot. To attract customers, they match Aldi’s prices and offer more deals for Clubcard members.
Which? analyzed special offer prices, specifically looking at loyalty prices in major supermarkets. Tesco Clubcard prices made Tesco cheaper in three of seven months. Aldi offered the best value overall.
Harry Rose, who edits Which? magazine, said Aldi is the cheapest supermarket in the UK for 2024. With many households wanting to cut costs now after all the holiday spending, switching supermarkets and shopping around can be very helpful.
We don’t know how many use the Tesco trial, nor do we know how long it lasts. Tesco said their Clubcard Prices is a trial. This trial gives even lower prices on products shoppers like, with purchases determining what discounts appear.
If in the trial, you get new deals each Wednesday. Look in your Tesco app for new prices, as Clubcard Prices discounts last seven days, and you can buy these products more than once.
