The Blackheath House, a new brunch spot, opens with a vibrant menu and cocktails
Blackheath: The Blackheath House just opened its doors. It’s a new brunch spot created by local chef Lily Sam. She launched it on December 31, 2024.
Lily, a mum of three, noticed Blackheath Village needed more brunch and coffee places. She decided to fill that gap with her new venture.
The restaurant is located where Copper & Ink used to be. That spot was run by MasterChef finalist Tony Rodd and his wife, Becky Cummings, until it closed last January.
Lily has transformed the space into a vibrant restaurant. It features colorful artwork, floral displays, and plants. They also have a bar serving brunch cocktails, smoothies, and hot drinks.
The menu includes popular brunch dishes like Eggs Benedict and Full English breakfast. There are also healthier and vegan options available.
If you love sweets, you’ll enjoy their homemade pancakes and locally made cakes. The restaurant is both dog-friendly and family-friendly, creating a strong family atmosphere.
Lily aims to support the community by using locally sourced ingredients. She collaborates with local businesses to curate the menu.
So far, the restaurant has been a hit. Lily mentioned they don’t even have a website yet, but word of mouth has spread quickly.
She plans to expand the menu soon. Look out for a new Sunday Roast and a seasonal dinner menu, plus live music and entertainment.
Lily believes in bringing the community together. She wants to support the local high street with her restaurant.
