Meet Keith and Fiona, the duo bringing vinyl back to life in Bournemouth through vibrant music events and community spirit
Bournemouth: Keith Willsher and Fiona MacDuff are a couple who found love through music. They’ve been on a mission to bring vinyl back into the spotlight.
Fiona shared that their connection blossomed over their mutual passion for tunes. This love for music inspired them to host events that celebrate vinyl.
Keith has a rich history as a DJ. He discovered music during tough times in his youth, and vinyl became his escape. He even won an award for being the best bedroom DJ!
In 2023, they got involved in the Milford on Sea music festival. Fiona managed to book John Illsley from Dire Straits, and the crowd went wild!
After a few successful events, they expanded to Christchurch, where they organized a fun fundraising day for the local rowing club. Fiona said it was a blast, with people dancing on tables!
Mark your calendars for their next event at Canvas on February 1, 2025. It’s called A Journey by Vinyl – volume 1 Lange, featuring the talented Lange and other artists.
Fiona describes Lange as a “superhero for trance,” and he’s giving away one of his albums in a raffle. Sounds like a night to remember!
They were surprised to find that vinyl isn’t just for older folks. A visit to Riptide Expresso and Records in Poole opened their eyes to a younger crowd loving vinyl too.
Tickets will be available at the door or online, so don’t miss out on this exciting night of music and community!
