Tim Hortons has withdrawn its application for a restaurant in Inverness, disappointing fans eager for a new location.
For years, people hoped for a Tim Hortons in the area. But the pandemic and rising costs made many companies rethink their plans. Despite this, the application stayed active, keeping hopes alive.
Recently, Highland Council confirmed that the application is now withdrawn. This means the nearest Tim Hortons will still be in Aberdeen and Perth for now.
The Inverness Courier reached out to Tim Hortons for more information. They wanted to know if the plans were completely off the table or if there might be another site in mind.
Tim Hortons didn’t provide clear answers. They mentioned focusing on improving existing locations, which has slowed down new openings. They also expressed appreciation for the community’s interest but couldn’t give a timeline for any future plans in Inverness.
They said, “Thank you for your inquiry regarding the upcoming Tim Hortons store. We’re excited by the enthusiasm surrounding the location and appreciate the anticipation from the community.”
