Torfaen council has recently approved several planning applications, impacting local developments and community projects in the area.
Cwmbran: So, the latest planning applications have been given the green light by Torfaen council. This week, they approved a bunch of projects that could really change things up in the area.
First off, they’ve given the thumbs up for some work at New Inn Fire Station. They’re looking to discharge a few conditions related to materials and lighting. Sounds like they’re getting serious about making it all safe and sound.
Then there’s a little tweak at 48 Poplar Avenue. They’re changing the finish of the external walls from brick to render. It’s all about making sure those walls stay watertight, which is pretty important.
Over in Griffithstown, they’ve also approved the discharge of a condition for some external materials at Parc Seymour. It’s all about making sure the new look fits in nicely.
Now, if you’re in Cwmbran, there’s news about some tree removals at Vine Cottage. They’re taking down a few Leylandii and other trees, but don’t worry, they’re keeping an eye on the bats. Those little guys are protected, so they’re making sure everything’s above board.
In Two Locks, they’ve approved a two-storey side extension at 68 Gifford Close. They’ve got some plans for bat boxes and other eco-friendly touches, which is great to see.
Also, there’s been a nod for an outbuilding at 4 Candwr Park. They’ve got some bird boxes to put up too, which is a nice touch for the local wildlife.
And let’s not forget about the crown reduction of an oak tree at 31 Greenfield Close. They’re keeping it tidy and making sure it’s all done right.
Lastly, at 91 Daffodil Court, they’ve approved a rear extension and garage conversion. They’re making sure to include some bird-friendly features as well. It’s all about keeping the community and nature in harmony.
