Twelve parking bays in Lovemead car park are closed for vegetation clearance until February 5, following a recent bus service layover.
Trowbridge: Twelve spaces in Lovemead car park are closed this week. This is to let contractors clear some vegetation. The work is expected to take a few days.
You can see heavy equipment and lots of plants being removed. A large area is blocked off for safety. Signs are up to inform drivers about the closures.
The parking bays will be closed from 6 AM on Monday, February 3, until 8 PM on Wednesday, February 5. If you park in these spaces, you might get a penalty charge notice.
This closure follows another recent suspension in the car park. That was to make room for a bus service layover. The layover was moved from its usual spot due to Wessex Water’s essential work.
Cllr Nick Holder from Wiltshire Council said the bays will reopen if the work finishes early. He confirmed that the closures are necessary for the vegetation clearance.
