A university has donated 300 sets of bed linen to help hospitals in Ukraine, showing solidarity with those affected by the ongoing conflict.
Worcestershire: A university recently stepped up to help Ukraine by donating 300 sets of bed linen. This generous act is aimed at supporting hospitals in the war-torn country.
The linen was sent to the Ukrainian Community in Worcestershire, who are making sure it reaches those in need. Community members even came by the university to express their thanks.
They shared heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the hospital staff who will benefit from this donation. Oksana Viktorova, one of the visitors, said the university’s support gives them hope for a brighter future.
She also handed out certificates of thanks to the university and the cleaning services team. Another visitor, Natalia Kostenko, emphasized the importance of this gesture, saying it means a lot to the soldiers protecting their country.
She described them as everyday people turned heroes by the war. Natalia added that the donation brings warmth and kindness, not just linen.
Nic Mander, the director of commercial and hospitality services at the university, mentioned how important it was to find a good use for the extra stock they had. He hates wasting things and felt this was the right choice.
Meeting Oksana and Natalia really showed him how even small actions can make a big difference. He reminded everyone to think about others’ situations and to help when they can.
