The Lodge in Hensford Marsh has shut down due to increasing costs, leaving the community heartbroken.
Warminster: The Lodge, located just outside Warminster, has officially closed its doors. It’s a real bummer for the community.
A spokesperson shared that the closure is mainly due to rising costs from suppliers and services. It’s just become too much to handle.
They mentioned that new legislation has also played a part in making it unsustainable to keep the restaurant running. It’s a tough situation for everyone involved.
On their Facebook page, The Lodge announced, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure after 22 incredible years of serving our community.”
They expressed how hard this decision was, but the rising costs made it impossible to continue. They thanked their loyal customers and staff for all the support over the years.
From their days as Hunters Moon to becoming The Lodge, they’ve created so many memories and friendships. It’s clear they’ll miss it dearly.
Even though the news is sad, the community has really come together since the announcement. The support has been overwhelming, and it’s heartwarming to see.
In a follow-up post, they clarified that this closure doesn’t affect Sarah at Little Lodge or their friends at Hunters Moon Lodges, who are still operating as usual.
