Drivers on the A443 in Worcestershire are being warned about slippery mud on the road, causing safety concerns for motorists.
Worcestershire: So, there’s been a bit of a situation on the A443. Signs have popped up near Top Barn, warning drivers about a slippery layer of mud on the road. It’s gotten some folks pretty worried, and they’ve taken to social media to voice their concerns.
The county council has confirmed they’ve heard about the mud and have put up extra signs to keep everyone informed. But here’s the kicker: Malvern Hills District Council, the ones in charge of street cleaning, can’t really do much about it with their sweepers.
They mentioned they got a report about the mud on Friday morning and planned to check it out. If it turns out that a farmer or contractor is responsible for the mud being on the road, they’ll have to report it to the county for further action.
Interestingly, businesses like Top Barn and Hill Top Cafe said they haven’t noticed any issues and are going about their day as usual. Pictures from the scene show a thin layer of mud, along with a few clumps scattered about.
A spokesperson from the county council said they put up warning signs on January 16, so they’re on top of it. Just a heads up for anyone driving in that area!
