A Watford engineer’s quick thinking and kindness after a woman’s fall have earned him praise and admiration from the community
Watford: Callum Thompson, who works at Avenue Heating, was busy installing a new boiler for Jane in Radlett when she unexpectedly fell. He didn’t hesitate for a second. Callum quickly called an ambulance and stayed with her until help arrived.
Once the paramedics took Jane to Watford General Hospital, Callum didn’t just stop there. He drove to the hospital to pick her up and made sure she got home safely. What a guy!
Callum humbly said he was just doing “the right thing.” Jane couldn’t stop praising him, calling him “lovely” and joking that “he’s got a lucky wife.”
During the ride home, they even snapped a selfie together. It’s heartwarming to see such kindness in action. Avenue Heating’s owner, Winston Davis, was proud of Callum, saying his actions went above and beyond what’s expected.
Winston knows a thing or two about helping others. He made headlines during the pandemic for offering free emergency repairs to elderly folks who were isolating. It’s clear that this team really cares about their community.
