Emma Rothwell, a contestant from Lancashire, is ready to impress Lord Sugar with her thriving online gift business
Essex: The new series of The Apprentice is kicking off, and Lord Sugar is on the hunt for a worthy candidate to invest in. He’s got his trusty advisors, Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell MBE, by his side.
This time around, 18 fresh faces are competing for a chance to snag Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment and mentorship. Among them is Emma Rothwell, who originally hails from Lancashire but now calls Essex home.
Emma runs an online gift store that started as a side project in her boyfriend’s garage. She launched her business during lockdown and has turned a mere £600 into a successful venture all on her own.
When asked about her business goals, Emma shared her vision of creating a platform where anyone can upload their designs onto gifts and earn passive income. She’s all about building a community of creators and consumers, especially for those who can’t do the traditional 9-5 grind.
Emma is determined to show that success is possible with hard work, no matter what others say. She believes her past achievements prove she’s ready for the next step and that she’s a problem solver who won’t be easily deterred.
The Apprentice is back for its 19th series on BBC One and iPlayer, with the first episode airing on Thursday, January 30. Fans are in for a treat!
