A hotel in Wiltshire is looking to add luxury lodges for tourists and event-goers, enhancing its offerings for visitors.
Royal Wootton Bassett: The Wiltshire Hotel, Golf and Leisure Resort is planning to expand its accommodations. They want to build some luxury lodges right on their property.
These new lodges are aimed at guests attending weddings or events, as well as those looking for a nice getaway with golf and leisure activities. It sounds like a great spot for a relaxing holiday!
Interestingly, the hotel was previously used to house asylum seekers, but that changed in May 2024. Now, they’re focusing on enhancing their tourist appeal.
The proposed lodges will be conveniently located near the golf course and hotel amenities, but they’ll also be tucked away enough to offer some privacy among the trees.
The hotel team believes that the design and materials will blend well with the landscape, minimizing any negative impact on the area’s visual charm.
These lodges will be built on part of the golf course, specifically on hole 13, which will be rearranged in a separate planning application.
Wiltshire Council is set to make a decision on this exciting project by mid-April. Fingers crossed for them!
