Get ready, Winsford! The Over Players are bringing Aladdin to life this week with a fun-filled show for the whole family
Winsford: The Over Players are all set to wow everyone with their version of Aladdin. This show kicks off on Wednesday, January 29, and runs for four days. It’s a great way for the community to come together and enjoy some local talent.
They’ll be performing at the United Reform Church in Over Square. This isn’t just any show; it’s a fresh take on the classic story. Aladdin, along with his brother Wishy Washy, goes on an exciting adventure with the help of some cheeky genies and a flying carpet.
Expect lots of laughs, catchy tunes, and colorful costumes. The cast is made up of talented local actors who are ready to entertain audiences of all ages. Director Jan Bason is super excited about this production and mentioned how hard everyone has worked to make it special.
Tickets are pretty affordable too—£6 for the first two nights and £8 for the weekend shows. Plus, there are discounts for kids. The shows start at 7:30 PM from Wednesday to Friday, with a Saturday matinee at 2 PM.
All the money raised will go to St Luke’s Hospice, which does amazing work caring for people with serious illnesses. There will also be a raffle and some snacks available to help raise even more funds.
Carol Moran, who plays Widow Twankey, shared that the script is original and has some fun surprises. She emphasized how important St Luke’s is to the group, as many have had loved ones cared for there.
So, if you’re in Winsford, don’t miss out on this chance to enjoy a fantastic show and support a great cause!
