A woman was sentenced after slashing another pub-goer in the neck during a night out in Poole, leaving the victim with a serious injury
Poole: So, there was this wild incident at a pub in Poole. A woman named Sharnice Summer got into some serious trouble after slashing another woman in the neck. The judge was pretty harsh, saying her actions could have killed someone.
This all went down at The Churchill pub. The victim was just out having a good time with friends and family when things took a turn. Around 11 PM, they were trying to get into their taxi when Sharnice decided to jump in and wouldn’t get out.
After some back and forth, she finally got out, but then she started causing a scene, holding two bottles of booze. Things escalated quickly when she smashed one of the bottles and lunged at the group with a piece of glass.
She ended up slashing the victim’s neck, which was super serious. The poor woman had blood pouring out and ran back into the pub, where she passed out from the injury. It was a real nightmare.
Turns out, Sharnice had a history of trouble with the law, with 13 convictions for various offenses, mostly related to alcohol and violence. She even had a suspended sentence for a racially aggravated assault back in 2019.
In court, her lawyer tried to say it was an accident and that she was overwhelmed. The judge acknowledged that both sides had their issues but still gave her a two-year suspended sentence. Plus, she has to pay the victim £1500 and wear a tag for a curfew.
