Wrexham’s Service 17 will run more frequently, now operating six days a week with hourly departures from the bus station.
Wrexham: Service 17, run by Wrexham & Prestige Taxis Ltd, currently operates three days a week. Starting February 17, it will run Monday to Saturday. You can catch a bus every hour during the day from Wrexham bus station.
The route will stay the same. It connects Stansty, Plas Coch Retail Park, Moss, and The Lodge.
Councillor David A Bithell said the timetable upgrade shows their commitment to improving local bus services. This change will help residents reach the city center and Plas Coch Retail Park more easily.
Wrexham Council has invested £400,000 over two years to add more evening and Sunday journeys. This will enhance the bus network for everyone.
Last year, they added an evening journey on service 146 between Wrexham and Whitchurch. This benefits nearby villages like Marchwiel and Overton.
They aim to improve the bus network as a good alternative to driving everywhere. You can find timetable info and journey planning at www.traveline.cymru.
Mark Coates, managing director of Wrexham & Prestige Taxis Ltd, expressed happiness about working with Wrexham Council. They have provided local bus services for over ten years, and the new timetable will help more communities access essential services.
