York Sport and Jorvik Tricycles teamed up for a fun cycling event, promoting inclusivity and giving away trikes to celebrate Jorvik’s anniversary
York: Recently, York Sport and Jorvik Tricycles joined forces for a fantastic inclusive cycling event. They showcased some cool trikes, including three donated by Jorvik as part of their special giveaway for their tenth anniversary.
James Walker, the CEO of Jorvik, was really excited about the event. He mentioned how great it was to celebrate a decade in business by giving back to the community.
He said he was inspired by the amazing work York Sport is doing and wanted to help out. It was heartwarming to see so many people enjoying the tricycles and having a safe place to ride.
James also expressed his eagerness to continue collaborating with York Sport to make cycling accessible for everyone.
Richard Orr, the Business Manager at York Sport, praised Jorvik for their generous donations. These trikes will be used in their weekly inclusive cycling sessions, which have around 50 regular participants.
York Sport has been running these inclusive sessions at York Sport Village since 2013, using a 1km track to ensure everyone can join in on the fun.
Interestingly, Jorvik Tricycles was founded when James started building trikes for his father, who could no longer ride a regular bike. If you want to learn more, check out their website!
