Hey, listen to this story about someone in Boston. A guy named Callum Rowe, age 28, got in trouble. He stole stuff from shops a few times, and because of this, he broke a court order.

The court order restricted where he could go; it was called a criminal behavior order, or CBO. He shoplifted coffee, chocolate, and other food. These thefts happened several times in January.

He stole coffee worth £7.95 from a Co-Op shop, and he also entered shops he wasn’t allowed to. He took chocolate from Bargain Buys, valued at £77.74. More food worth £68.20 was stolen from Bargain Buys too.

His CBO said he could only visit Farmfoods, the pharmacy, and Spa shop. The order started on November 27, 2024. Police said they issue CBOs to stop antisocial actions, and they watch people with CBOs closely, acting fast if they break them.

Police want Boston to be safe for everyone and to protect the shops in town. A CBO targets people causing serious issues, setting rules about where someone is, and is not, allowed to go.

Breaking a CBO is a crime, and it can mean jail time for the person. Sentences could be as long as five years for serious cases. Rowe got a suspended sentence, six weeks off, for one year.
